When your 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974,1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 or 1981 Camaro Z28's leaf springs are worn out, the rear starts to sag. Originally Camaros had a consistent ride height with the front end and rear end level. Many 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974,1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 or 1981 Camaros out on the road today could use new leaf springs.
WARNING: All bolts at the spring mounting points should be left finger tight until all the weight of the car is put on the springs (i.e. rear end supported by jack stands). Then, proper torque should be applied to all points (torque specs available in the factory assembly manual). Failure to follow this procedure could result in one side of the car sitting lower than the other. Also, installing springs in a car under restoration can result in the body sitting 4-6" off of the rear tires. This should settle when items such as the interior and fuel tank are installed.
